Everett Charles Tech (ECT) has been manufacturing in New England for over 50 years. Cohu has leveraged that well-established presence by investing in a new facility in Lincoln, RI, focused on spring probe and connector design and manufacturing.
New ECT Spring Probe & Connector Facility in Lincoln, Rhode Island
ECT is pleased to announce that our facilities in Warwick, RI and Fontana, CA and Kita USA facility in Attleboro, MA have been successfully integrated into our new design and manufacturing location in Lincoln, RI, USA.
ECT has invested in a new facility capable of supporting the manufacturing needs of both current and future products. This new facility enables ECT to react more quickly to customer requirements by co-locating technical expertise in critical areas of Engineering, Assembly and QA/Inspection.
Because the first part of 2019, was spent building up inventory and planning a carefully staged move, operations will continue uninterrupted during the relocation. Our Fontana, CA location will be permanently closed at the conclusion of this move in October.
This move is part of a larger plan to modernize operations and leverage a variety of experience and skills to enhance our product portfolio, giving our customers the best combination of technologies to match their business and technical needs. ECT will enjoy new capabilities such as in-house plating and a wider use of automated assembly across more product lines. The new site will also have improved metrology and inspection capabilities to support critical electronic and OEM applications.
